South Plains Texas Land Market Insights and Pricing

Located in northwestern Texas, and incorporating several counties that comprise the lower portion of the Texas Panhandle, the South Plains region of Texas is one of the world's biggest cotton-producing areas. As you'd expect, it's home to mostly farms and cattle ranches; however, in recent years a growing number of wind farms have sprouted up to take advantage of the windy climate that whips across a mostly flat landscape that's geologically known as the Llano Estacado. The gateway town of Lubbock is the main population center of the South Plains region and is home to Texas Tech University.
