The red diamond shape on the attached map indicates the location of a water tower. Just on the south side of the water tower there is a flat open area. This is the location of an old VFW building that was buried on site.

Approximately 30 years ago, in the NW 1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 17, T9N, R9E the city of Fulton, Mississippi operated a trash dump on about 20+/-acres of the property. Based on the knowledge of the owner he believes that they followed the necessary guidelines for the time in which it was operated. Once the site was closed, it was covered with soil and planted with pine trees. I have not been able to locate a map of the exact location or acreage at this time.
