Chris Barr

Hello! I am Chris Barr, an Ashe County native who entered the real estate business after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Emory and Henry College with a degree in business management in 1996.

I started my real estate career at Jefferson Landing, a golf and residential community located on the New River in Ashe County.

In my twelve years at Jefferson Landing, I was named the top producer eleven straight years since 1997. In 2014, I was awarded the Best Realtor in Ashe County, by the readers of Mountain Times. In 2016, I received the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation. Also in 2016, I was the transaction leader with 72 transactions sides for just under $9.5 Million in Sales. In 2017, was transaction leader and total sales leader with 90 side transactions and over 16.5M in sales.

In June 2018, I affiliated my license with Realty One Group Results, I finished 2018 as the top Broker with Realty One in the State of North Carolina with 87 side transactions and total sales exceeding $14M.

My real estate philosophy is that each client is hopefully a friend for life! Its all about relationships and having the commitment to give the best service possible. Real estate purchases are large financial commitments and regardless of whether one is a first-time home buyer or seasoned investor, and regardless of the price, each transaction should be handled with the same enthusiasm and specific attention to detail.

I work by my motto: If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right!

On a personal note, I am married to the former Kelly Barlow, an Ashe County native as well, have one daughter, Emery, and 2 step-sons, Sid and Jesse. My hobbies include coaching youth sports, working out, snow skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
