A native of the Roaring Fork Valley, Gary grew up in Carbondale and worked many years in the Aspen area as a fly-fishing guide, hunting guide, wilderness outfitter, and professional photographer. These talents served him well as a ranch marketing specialist, with an added knowledge base in luxury home construction, irrigation systems, mineral rights, and water rights. In 2016, Gary graduated #1 in his class at the Texas Auction Academy and sold ranch land, heavy equipment, collector cars, antiques & collectibles, and even the former World Record American Elk at auction.

Mike Gerbaz is a fourth-generation Aspenite with 35 years' experience in real estate, specializing in ranches, luxury homes, and income-producing properties.

Living the Colorado lifestyle--hunting, fly-fishing, skiing, ranching

Gary lives in Crawford with his wife, Doris, on a 118-acre hay farm, a property with an engineered center-pivot irrigation system for maximum production and efficiency. An avid big-game hunter, Gary loves to pursue elk and mule deer in the high country, and he is also an avid upland bird hunter, fly-fisherman, and waterfowler. As dog enthusiasts, Gary and Doris raise Labrador retrievers. Gary is the co-author of "Shadowcasting: An Introduction to the Art of Flyfishing" and the publisher of "The Labrador Shooting Dog" and "The Pointing Labrador". An avid skier since childhood, Gary likes both downhill skiing and Nordic skiing. As a horseman, Gary has run a string of 45 outfitting horses, and is familiar with breeding and training. All told, Gary and Doris have owned over 300 horses, including Missouri foxtrotters, paints, quarter horses, Arabians, draft crosses, Morgans, Tennesse walkers, and mustangs.
