Michael Tragner

Michael began his forestry career in 1987 with New England Forestry Foundation as a forest consultant. In 1989 he joined Fountains America overseeing the companys northern New England forestry operations as a consulting forester. Prior to the Company joining F&W Forestry Services in 2016, he was President of Fountains America, a leading forestry, land brokerage and GIS firm. During his 31-year tenure with Fountains America he helped the company establish the Fountains Land brokerage division in the early 1990s. Today his professional focus is serving client marketing of timberland and multiple use properties within northern New England for F&W Forestry Services Fountains Land brokerage division. Michael brings to the Fountains Land marketing team property valuation expertise, strategic disposition strategies and creative marketing concepts. He has been responsible for the successful sale of 495,000 acres with property value of +/-$400 million on some 375 transactions. He received his BS in Resource Management at SUNY ESF at Syracuse, New York. He is a licensed broker in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania, and licensed forester in Vermont. In his free time, Michael spends time outdoors skiing and hiking and has a bonsai farm from trees collected in the wild.
