Created as a private family sanctuary in the 1920s, Glendorn features a collection of cottages, the “Big House” lodge and vast recreational lands. Currently operating as a Relais & Chateaux lodge resort, Glendorn can be acquired in its entirety as an ongoing enterprise, or to create your own private family enclave. The valley cottages are flanked by hundreds of acres of pristine forest filled with Black Cherry, Red Oak and Ash timberland. Highly selective cutting has occured only in the last few years and much of the forest is "old growth" with an estimated 5 - 10 year volume in excess of 1.3 million board feet. Trout lakes and streams meander through the property, earning Glendorn the highly coveted Orvis designation.

Glendorn will be offered in four parcels, allowing bidders to control the type of property they wish to own. Bidders may choose to purchase one or all of the parcels at the auction.

Parcel 1 is the resort area in the valley on 418+/- acres with the Big House lodge, guest cabins, education center, sports (swimming, tennis, skeet trap shooting, stables and hiking trails), service buildings, three lakes and miles of trout streams.

Parcels 2 & 3 are 593+/- acres and 194+/- acres, respectively, of heavily timbered land consisting of black cherry, red oak, ash, hard and soft maples. Highly selective cutting has occurred only in the last few years and much of the forest is “old growth.” Estimated volume to be cut in the next 5-10 years is 1,387,000 board feet. Both of these parcels will sell “Buyer’s Choice.” Buyer’s Choice allows the high bidder to choose which parcel, or both parcels, at their per-high-bid price. If the high bidder chooses only one parcel, the bidding will begin again at the Nominal Opening Bid until the next high bidder is declared.

Parcel 4 is the “Gate House” cottage on 2+/- acres which lies just outside Glendorn’s fencing at the main gate.
