Backed up to Caribou National Forest and tucked between Two Mile and Four Mile Canyon, this piece could make a fine base camp for outdoor recreation. Conveniently located off HWY 15 in Malad with seasonal access on the county frontage road adds accessibility. Build an off-the-grid cabin and have the mountains and national forest access right at your back door. Bring your RVs, ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles and explore the miles of off-road trails in the surrounding BLM and National Forest. This is part of hunting unit 73, known for mature mule deer and upland game hunting. Curlew National Grasslands is just 25 minutes away, offering 50,000 acres of scenic land with miles of trails to explore horseback riding, biking, bird watching, hunting and fishing. Stone Reservoir is in the grasslands and offers excellent Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Rainbow Trout, White Crappie, and Pumpkinseed fishing. The reservoir also offers boating facilities, water skiing, swimming and canoeing. Most of the grasslands are open to hunting as well, with game such as deer, rabbit and waterfowl.
