Elkhorn Timber Ranch consists of 1569 acres and is situated 12 miles northwest of Baker City, Oregon, in the Elkhorn Mountains. The land is mostly timbered, with Pine Creek flowing through for about 2 1/2 miles. The rugged terrain has elevations ranging from 4,400 to 7,400 feet. The property is bordered on three sides by Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and other public lands. The ranch is a great place to hunt or watch wildlife. Deer, elk, fox, wild turkey, cougars, bears, and mountain goats have all been seen around the property. The land is located in Sumpter Hunting Unit 51. Additionally, this is a great place to ride horses or ATVs, hike, or snowmobile.
