Location and Access:

Tract is located approximately 3.5 miles northwest of the town of Starks. Old River Road is the eastern boundary and Gillis Road is the northern and western boundary of the tract. Plenty of four-wheeler trails give great interior access to the tract.

Topography and Soils:

The topography is relatively flat. There are quite a few small and some flats that hold water during the wet times of the year. The soils are primarily poorly drained. However, on this tract due to the multiple small streams the property stays pretty well drained. All the soils have a high potential for productivity and high pine site indices.

Timber Characteristics:

This tract is comprised of a well-stocked 140 acre 2001 pine plantation. The trees are 3 to 5 years away from needing a first thinning. The remaining 66.94 acres are located along the drains and flats and are made up mainly of hardwood pulpwood with some scattered hardwood sawtimber and patches of small pine sawtimber.
