Location: The Pat's Canyon Ranch is located near the southeast corner of Colorado. Approximately 15% of the ranch extends into the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Acres: 20,790 deeded acres, more or less and 962 acres, more or less of Colorado State Lease. Totally, the ranch contains approximately 21,752 acres.
Terrain: The north one-third of the property is gently rolling to hilly open prairie land. The remainder of the ranch has a more broken canyon-like terrain. Juniper and pinon are found throughout the rougher portions of the ranch, principally along ridgelines and steep mesa sideslopes. Mature cottonwood trees are common along the major creek bottom drainages.
Water: The ranch is watered by electric submersible wells, dirt tanks and numerous springs located in the header canyons and creek bottom areas.
Access: Access is by graded county road.
Hunting/Recreation: The sportsman will appreciate the quality of the mule deer, and elk are also fairly common. Other game includes bighorn sheep, turkey and an occasional lion or bear.
Improvements: The ranch is adequately improved with a two-story home, outbuildings and livestock pens.
Remarks: This is a scenic property with good recreation features. The ranch also has many old rock homesteads and Indian Pictographs are found on the property.
