Configured into several tracts ranging in size from 37 to more than 4,000 acres, Arrowhead Timberlands is the largest private ownership in Lake County. Arrowhead Timberlands, historically owned and operated by vertically integrated paper companies, has been managed for forest products for generations. More recently, a Duluth-based family ownership has guided stewardship resulting in a portion of the property benefiting from a Conservation Easement (CE). The CE, held by the state of Minnesota, is designed to allow for multiple uses including continued forest management and public access.
