A year around protein feeding program for the past several years has produced bucks with massive trophy antlers. Over the past 7 years approximately 70 whitetail deer (approximately 50 bucks) have been brought in with South Texas genetics and released on the ranch. There are now multiple genetic strains that are producing several typical, non-typical and drop-tine whitetail bucks on the ranch that ranges from approximately 150 to 200 plus B&C. Deer counts on the ranch indicate approximately 200 whitetail deer at approximately a 1:1 ratio. The owner has taken great care to also produce an Axis herd with perhaps some of the finest genetics in Texas and there are several world record class Axis bucks currently on this ranch. There are also trophy Blackbuck Antelope and many flocks of turkey that inhabit the ranch. There are dove and quail on this ranch and wild hog hunting is available outside the high fence in the 2 back corners of the ranch. There are seven custom fiberglass bows and rifle deer stands that are 8 feet by 6 feet, 7 Hangem high corn feeders, 13 large protein feeders, and several custom mineral feeders. (The stands were custom built in 2004) The trophy Whitetail, Axis, and Blackbuck Antelope have been carefully managed for years. Protein and mineral supplements are provided year round.
