Full of western history, the Yellowhammer is an undiscovered gem that lies in Southeastern Campbell County, halfway between Gillette and Wright, Wyoming.The Ranch totals 6425 +/- acres consisting of 4009 +/- deeded acres, and another 2416 +/- BLM and State leased acres. There are also thousands more BLM and State acres in the Yellowhammer Buttes that make for great wildlife habitat and directly connect and expand the limitless hunting and recreational opportunities.The topography on the Ranch varies from rolling hills to deep draws and steep canyons, holding native grasses, sage and pines that provide good feed and cover for both wildlife and livestock. The Ranch has good water resources including natural spring reservoirs and stock wells, as well as Deer Creek, Yellowhammer Creek and the Belle Fourche River that run in and around the boundaries.There is a good road and trail system that runs throughout all parts of the Ranch for easy accessibility. The fencing is made up of 3 and 4 wire, with wood and steel posts. Cross fencing creates seperate pastures allowing for best practice livestock rotation. The Ranch comfortably holds 150 - 160 cow/calf pairs from April to October, while maintaining a balance with the resident wildlife.Excellent hunting opportunities come with a good migration of Elk, Deer and Antelope that can all be counted in the big game categories on the Ranch. Sharp Tail Grouse, Sage Hens and a host of other Wyoming critters can also be found in the neighborhood.The regional hubs in the area are Casper, WY about 1 1/2 hours to the West.
