The country NW of Schroeder and NE of Finland represents one of those big blank spots on the map. Come with the whole gang and lay into some projects or with just that special someone: close-by, together in the glow of the woodstove. The 2021 build had all the right moves: LP smart siding on the front, steel siding on the rest, great big overhung porch area for chillaxing, wired and set up for plugging in a generator. The vision is one of simplicity, getting back to basics. A place to disappear, unwind, relax, recall how it can be. If you like, modernize as you see fit, easy enough to bring in power, get a heater in place, etc. And, keep mindful of the rich web of life the cabin dwells in. Spring ephemerals pop out including a carpet of bloodroot. Moose and bears have been “seen” on the wildlife cameras. Salamanders and frogs somehow freeze then thaw in the forest litter – miraculous! On close inspection, it’s rather mind-blowing the ways of these boreal maple woods! Come see, buy, make the dream reality!
