When you come to the junction of the road to Caon Del Norte and Cochiti Mesa, take the Cochiti Mesa road and take the first right and you will eventually come to a flat spot and a great building spot with all kinds of views to the West, South & North. There was once a cabin on the spot but burnt down during the Las Concha Fire. The fact that the whole area did burn is not deterring any sales in the area, it is healing. No electric but plenty and I mean plenty of solar exposure. Have to drill a well with the wells at a depth of 250 to 500 in the area.
Go back to the junction and head toward Caon Del Norte. Once at the bottom you will take a little road to the North, (about 100 yards), The road is blocked by fallen, burnt trees and erosion, but if you walk it, it is not that bad. From the end of the road walk about 650 and you will come to the southern boundary line of the property, see plat. When I walked it, I made a boo boo and did not flag it but I will flag it, (approximately) when I show it to you. The road is also call the Bland Canyon Road and it is a Forest Service Road but is pretty much abandoned by the Forest Service but still on their books. While walking the road you will notice a drainage, that drainage is a spring that use to run, (the spring does run in a couple of places approximately 1/4+miles North and up Del Norte Canyon). The western boundary line is Forest Service and the drainage, (spring) runs in and out of the property and Forest Service. There are two other dried springs that run into the main drainage. You are definitely in a canyon but it does have some flat areas where you can build and many, not so steep, inclines that can be excavated.
The road to the junction is a Sandoval County maintained road and the property is about 1/4 acre from property lending itself to year around living. There are two individuals that now live in the area year around. The canyon portion of the property would, (but not necessarily), be for recreational use. The canyon part is my favorite because you can privacy and seclusion. And chance is better to hit water at a shallow depth. But remember and as any well driller will state, only God can guarantee water.
3547'47.08"N 10628'1.42"W will get you to the center, (approximately) of the build spot on top
3548'7.55"N 10628'11.21"W will get you to the bottom of Caon Del Norte
3547'32.85"N 10628'4.71"W Will get you to the inner portion of the property, along Bland Canyon Road
In vicinity of Canon Del Norte and Cochiti Mesa.
